Supporting Youth Resilience

Ikeda, J., Hubley, N., and Liebenberg, L. (2013). Pathways to Resilience: Supporting Youth Resilience [Video file]. Retrieved from http://youtu.be/od5a20mXDw4

The concept of supporting youth resilience is demonstrated in the video and both handouts above. If you would like to know more about the research behind this, read the article ‘Patterns of Psychosocial Service Use: Individual and Contextual Risk factors, and Resilience among Adolescents Using Multiple Services’ by Michael Ungar and colleagues, published in the journal Child Abuse and Neglect (2013, issue 37, page 150).

Pathways to Resilience:

Partnering organizations have been invited to participate in a video dissemination project. Volunteering youth, who did not necessarily participate in the research, helped create videos about  findings they felt applied to them. Click on the links below to see what was important to youth.
